Welcome to Write it Scared. I'm glad you're here. Let's dive in. Well, hello writer. Today's show is all about introductions and what you can expect from the podcast. So about me. Well, I'm Stacy Fraser, a formerly repressed creative soul turned novelist certified book, coach, and creator of right. It scared. Once upon a time, I didn't believe I was good enough or creative enough or smart enough. To write stories. Though I secretly harbored the desire. But I buried that desire under what I thought I should do and should be. Now fast forward. Through my early twenties and into my late thirties. And I had gone through some stuff, some painful personal growth, rubber meets the road. Change or die type of stuff. Didn't die clearly. But I did change. And through that, I discovered that I believed many things about myself that were not true. They held me down. They hurt me. And they kept me from writing the books that I dreamed up. Today, I'm a woman on a mission to share my stories with the world and help other writers do the same. As a certified author accelerator fiction book, coach I'm in a place where I can give back. I can help other writers bring their stories to life. Just like someone did for me. Because I believe that we cannot keep that, which we are not willing to give. Nothing lights me up more than to see the passion and excitement of a writer, embracing their ability to tell the story of their heart. Story matters. Your story matters and you are the only one who can write it. Story connects us. It gives us what we need. Meaning belonging, adventure, escape, hope, love, compassion, and most importantly empathy for ourselves and for others. My goals are simple. To help you see your light as a human being, as a writer. And get you to a finished book. You are incredibly proud of. This podcast will contain episodes to strengthen your understanding of the craft and tips and tools to help you normalize and work through the moments of self doubt. Along the way I'll share interviews with other writers and industry experts who are willing to be vulnerable and share how hard writing a novel really is and what they do to continue crafting their stories. So we can all gain inspiration and compassion for ourselves because we are not alone. My hope is that this podcast inspires you to do what calls to your writers, heart.
